About
We are a team of designers, developers, writers, producers and strategists based in Sydney and Melbourne, entrusted with some of Australia’s most iconic brands.

What we do

We work with people and businesses to help them in the evolution, reinvention or creation of their brand. We apply strategic thought to deliver effective design solutions across sectors at every scale.

How we do it

An enduring brand has the ability to stand the test of time whilst remaining flexible to changing consumer behaviours and market dynamics. When designed well, it forms a system of reusable elements, guided by clear rules and frameworks, coherently organised to enable the organisation to move faster and achieve a shared vision or purpose.

A timeless identity for a design-led property group.

Operating at the boutique end of the market, with a design conscious, culturally informed client in mind, Beams needed a visual identity to convey its rightful place in this space.

Adopted from scaffolding and construction vernacular, the visual identity is built around a precise and intelligible grid system – an underlying structure ensuring that information is articulated clearly across all touchpoints, blurring the line between luxury and utility.

Using a functional and pragmatic approach, the custom logotype and bespoke icons derive from the grid, while the monochromatic palette adds simplicity, rigour and timelessness.

When integrated with its property campaigns, the brand needed to be consistent and prevalent, acting as a mark of quality and driving equity back to the Beams brand. The identity successfully allowed for distinction in campaign creative, through art direction, colour palette and materiality, and provided a consistent application of the Beams brand across the key campaign touchpoints.

A timeless identity for a design-led property group.

Beams Projects is a Melbourne-based property group with a passion for architecture. Dedicated to honest design and local values, Beams develops spaces that they would want to live and work in themselves. Its projects are characterised by uncompromising high quality and scrupulous attention to detail – urban developments that endure and positively contribute to Melbourne’s architectural landscape.
