About
We are a team of designers, developers, writers, producers and strategists based in Sydney and Melbourne, entrusted with some of Australia’s most iconic brands.

What we do

We work with people and businesses to help them in the evolution, reinvention or creation of their brand. We apply strategic thought to deliver effective design solutions across sectors at every scale.

How we do it

An enduring brand has the ability to stand the test of time whilst remaining flexible to changing consumer behaviours and market dynamics. When designed well, it forms a system of reusable elements, guided by clear rules and frameworks, coherently organised to enable the organisation to move faster and achieve a shared vision or purpose.

The Art of Living.

David Jones has the opportunity to present Australians with the model and the means to live artfully, with grace, consideration, composure and confidence. Each product and service category is itself an artform and sharing with our customers the right way to navigate and explore these elements of life is the business of our campaigns and communications.

As part of our ongoing relationship with David Jones, Maud provides strategic and creative direction for the brand and all top tier campaigns.

The latest iteration of the creative platform for David Jones, “The Art of Living”, centres on their role as a department store to shape the style of the nation, from our homes to our footwear, and curate the quintessential Australian life.

In the face of a tough retail environment and increasing international competition, the major challenge for David Jones as a brand, and department store, is to stay relevant in the eyes of shoppers.

For over 160 years David Jones has sourced goods from around the world and provided a personal service to shoppers, connecting them to the things they love, and will love, in the future.

The Art of Living celebrates every person and every taste and encourages modern shoppers to share a considered approach to how they shop and the things they choose to have in their lives. In so doing it sets a standard and an aspiration for what it is to achieve a uniquely Australian lifestyle.
