About
We are a team of designers, developers, writers, producers and strategists based in Sydney and Melbourne, entrusted with some of Australia’s most iconic brands.

What we do

We work with people and businesses to help them in the evolution, reinvention or creation of their brand. We apply strategic thought to deliver effective design solutions across sectors at every scale.

How we do it

An enduring brand has the ability to stand the test of time whilst remaining flexible to changing consumer behaviours and market dynamics. When designed well, it forms a system of reusable elements, guided by clear rules and frameworks, coherently organised to enable the organisation to move faster and achieve a shared vision or purpose.

The Home of Australian Fashion

Our brief was to create a modern interpretation of a classic 1999 David Jones ad campaign, which heroed its designers and featured the iconic David Jones “There’s No Other Store” jingle.

For the Spring/Summer 2020 campaign, we celebrated Australia’s fashion designers – from established icons to emerging creatives – with a series of intimate portraits and a short film that brought these portraits to life. The film also features the voices of the designers, expressing their inspirations and experiences, as well as the unique qualities of Australian fashion and the importance of supporting the local industry. With a stripped back instrumental version of the original jingle, the film evokes a nostalgia which nods to David Jones being part of the lives of Australians for as long as we can remember.

In a year of unprecedent change and adaptation, the campaign explores the unique spirit of the place we call home and brings the fashion community together to stand united and celebrate the creativity from our own shores.

As part of David Jones’ The Home of Australian Fashion campaign, we showcased Australia’s most renowned fashion designers, championing both the individual and Australian fashion as a whole.

In 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 crisis, we wanted to shine a spotlight on Australian brands to encourage consumers to consider local when making purchase decisions. We collaborated with Maud to profile our incredible line up of Australian designers to share their stories about Australian style as The Home of Australian Fashion.

As always with Maud, we really appreciate the fresh thinking and exceptional art direction they bring to each and every project, with this one being no exception.
